- Description
- A stained-glass window of three major lights beneath three minor lights. The top-most light features a sword and shield, upon which is written Faith. Beneath it one light shows the Regimental Badge of the Manchester Regiment, and the other has a rose bearing a white and a red flower - indicating that the Regiment recruited in both Yorkshire and Lancashire. The central main window depicts Our Lady, with St George on the left and St Joan of Arc on the right. A brass tablet on the wall near the entrance to the chapel carries the dedication. The design is surmounted by a cross, the upright of which carries down through the whole. The Badge of the Manchester Regiment is flanked by the Union and the French flags, all painted in their colours. Beneath them a horizontal scabbarded sword is secured to the cross by its webbing. A bidding payer in red and black is on a plate below.
