- Description
- Large wooden board with gold lettering. The carving at the head of the panel comprises the two palms of victory and a laurel wreath. The names of the served are in 2 side panels, and of the fallen in the centre panel, for WW2 at the base of the memorial. The central panel has a sheathed sword emblematical of the victory won and that the men have gained a crown of life. The whole is flanked by fluted pilasters surmounted by composite capitals, the nut and tongue style of carving being introduced into the border.
