- Description
- FRAMED AND GLAZED UPRIGHT RECTANGULAR ROLL OF HONOUR WOODEN FRAME. MULTI COLOURED HEAVILY DECORATED PAPER ROLL OF HONOUR. GRECIAN COLUMNS ON EITHER SIDE WITH MONS, SOMME, PALESTINE, JUTLAND WRITTEN ON THE LEFT HAND COLUMN AND YPRES, MESSINES, GALLIPOLI AND (...) ON THE RIGHT HAND COLUMN. THE THREE COLUMNS OF NAMES HAVE THEIR INITIALS IN RED AND BLUE. SURNAMES IN BLACK. THE COLUMNS ARE SEPARATED BY FOUR TALL THIN CANDLES ON CANDELSTICKS WITH THE WORDS SELF SACRIFICE, DUTY, HONOUR AND FREEDOM WRITTEN IN BOXES. IN THE TRIANGULAR HEAD OF THE ROLL OF HONOUR THERE ARE DRAWINGS OF LEAVES AND A CIRCULAR LAUREL WREATH WITH A SOLDIER IN A SUIT OF ARMOUR ASTRIDE A BLACK HORSE IN THE CENTRE OF THE WREATH.
