- 2007: plaque was refurbished by the National Arboretum and an additional plaque was fixed to the front of the plinth dedicated to five Irish born Merchant Seaman captured while serving on British ships and who lost their lives in the Arbeitserziehungslager Nazi Slave Labour camp, Bremen, Farge, 1943 - 45.
