Description
Two-stepped base surmounted by tapered stone of remembrance with inscription in black lettering on two sides of the stone. The insiginia of the Army Dental Corps is above the inscription on the front face; and the insignia of the Royal Army Dental Corps is on the reverse of the stone. An additional, free-standing rectangular tablet rests against the front of the stone. The stone is approached by a flagstone path. A plaque is fixed into the ground which details the memorial's history together with a bench commemorating the rededication at the Arboretum.

6 o'clock face: IN PROUD REMEMBRANCE/ OF THE OFFICERS/ NON COMMISSIONED OFFICERS/ AND MEN/ OF/ THE ARMY DENTAL CORPS/ WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES/ IN THE WAR 1939 - 1945/ THE NAMES OF THE FALLEN/ ARE INSCRIBED IN A/ BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE (Additional tablet at base): DEDICATED TO THOSE WHO HAVE SERVED OR ARE SERVING IN THE ADC AND RADC 12 o'clock face: ROYAL ARMY DENTAL CORPS/ 1939 - 1945 (Information plaque): THE ADC AND RADC MEMORIAL WAS ORIGINALLY PLACED IN/ 1948 AT THE CORPS DEPOT AND TRAINING ESTABLISHMENT/ CONNAUGHT HOSPITAL ALDERSHOT. ON ITS CLOSURE IN 1973 THE/ MEMORIAL WAS MOVED TO THE NEW TRAINING CENTRE IN/ EVELYN WOODS ROAD ALDERSHOT. IT REMAINED THERE UNTIL ITS/ RELOCATION HERE IN 2011. THE NAMES OF THE FALLEN ARE/RECORDED IN A BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE HELD IN THE CORPS/ CHAPEL IN CHURCH OF ALL SAINTS ALDERSHOT GARRISON.
