DATE UNKNOWN: ORIGINAL MEMORIAL DETERIORATED AND WAS DISPOSED OF. FULL INFORMATION WAS TAKEN FROM OLD MEMORIAL AND IT HAS BEEN DIRECTLY COPIED TO CREATE NEW MEMORIAL. TWO PHOTOGRAPHS PROVIDED OF FIRST MEMORIAL, SHOWING THAT IT IS LARGER THAN THE COPY AND HAS A PLINTH BENEATH THAT WAS USED TO DISPLAY FLOWERS. A PHOTOGRAPH OF THE ORIGINAL MEMORIAL HANGS IN THE CONSTABLES OFFICE IN LE FEBVRE STREET, ST PETER PORT.
