PLAIN WHITE MARBLE INSCRIPTION TABLET MOUNTED ONTO A MUCH LARGER BLACK STONE BACKBOARD. INSCRIPTION IN BLACK LETTERING. TWO POLES WITH ENSIGNS FLYING FROM THEM ARE CARVED IN RELIEF AS IF THEY WERE BEHIND THE INSCRIPTION TABLET ON THE BACKBOARD. BADGE OF THE IX LANCERS IS AT THE TOP CENTRE OF THE TABLET ON A OVAL PIECE OF MARBLE.
