Description
Three stepped octagonal base surmounted by a square plinth, tapering shaft and Celtic cross. The whole is surrounded by white shingle and enclosed within stone posts with linked chains. Dedicatory plaques on the front face of the plinth and the top step are metal whilst the other tabets on the other sides of the plinth and step are in stone.

History
2009: The memorial was refurbished at a cost of £4,000. Additional tablets listing two additional WW2 casualties and post WW2 conflicts were added, white coloured shingle was placed around the base and two flagpoles were placed nearby from which the union flag and the town council flag will be flown on special occasions. 1998: Metal plaques placed on the 6 o'clock face
