STONE COLUMN SURMOUNTED BY AN ORB WITH A BRONZE SCULPTURE OF AN EAGLE WITH WINGS OUTSTRETCHED ON THE TOP STATION BADGE CARVED AT THE TOP OF THE COLUMN. SEVEN SQUADRON BADGES ON WELSH SLATE ARE SET INTO THE PAVING AROUND THE MEMORIAL. THE SQUADRONS ARE 61 AND 144 RAF HAMPDEN SQN; 300 PAF WELLINGTON SQN; 301 PAF WELLINGTON SQN; 305 PAF WELLINGTON SQN; 150 AND 170 RAF LANCASTER SQN

  • Intercom 69/Summer 1995 Published:Air Crew Association on the "Classified" page - "New Memorial 150 Squadron RAF" paragraph advertising the dedication service "in the Priory on Sunday 10 September 1995" and requesting "Donations ("to 150 Sqn Memorial Fund) for the memorial and a Book of Remembrance are still urgently needed." However, this date differs from the actual date of the service which appears on the memorial and no exact location of "the Priory" is mentioned
