Description
Wooden triptych, with triangular pediment that contains the main inscription in gilt lettering. Beneath the pediment, two hinged doors flank the central section, into which is set a copper cross, beneath whose arms are listed the names of those who died in both World Wars. Beneath the central section is a pedestal and shelf.

FOR/ GOD, KING & COUNTRY./ 1914-1919 1939-1945/ (NAMES, i.e. 33 WW1 and 18 WW2) (There are two discreet small plaques on the pedestal: the first bears the manufacturer's name; the second records that the memorial was made from timber removed from HMS Britannia, which was the Navy cadet training ship at Dartmouth 1869-1905).
