  • A Century of British Brewers plus plus 1890-2012 by Norman Barber, Mike Brown and Ken Smith p.33 Published:Longfield Brewery History Society 2012 Longfield, Kent Eldridge Pope's pub estate was separated fro the brewery in 1996, and a management buyout followed in 1997. This merged with Burtonwood in 1998 as Thomas Hardy Burtonwood.
