Description

Brass plaque with black, gothic-style incised lettering. Incised floriate border with plain incised single line as inner border. Incised Bugle horn and 95 in each corner and Rifle Brigade Badge above inscription.

Inscription

To the Glory OF GOD/ and in memory of/ Harold Whitaker/ Captain 2nd Bn Rifle Brigade/ Killed in action near Laventie, France/ December 1st 1914, aged 29/ Until the day break and the shadows flee away. Song of Solomon Chap 11-17
