- A metal plaque with columnal sides showing dedication and names in raised lettering. At the curved top of the plaque are the City of London arms below a small plinth supporting a crown.. On either side of the tablet are the letters VR (Victoria Regina).

- In memory of the following members of The Queens Westminster Volunteers (13th Middlesex) who joined The City of London Imperial Volunteers and died during the campaign in South Africa 1900./[names] 'Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori'.
