Description
PLAQUE WITH THE INSCRIPTION IN LOWERED-INCISED ROMAN CAPS OF VARIOUS SIZE FILLED IN BLACK, WITH CERTAIN INITIAL LETTERS FILLED IN IN RED. THE INSCRIPTION IS ENCLOSED BY A BLACK FILLED LOWERED-INCISED BORDER 2 CM FROM EACH EDGE OF THE TABLET. WHERE THE LINES OF THE BORDER CROSS CIRCLES ENCOMPASS THE ROUND-HEADED FIXING SCREWS WHICH FORM THE CENTRE POINTS OF QUATREFOILS. ALL OF THESE LINES ARE LOWERED-INCISED AND BLACK FILLED.CENTRALLY ABOVE THE INSCRIPTION IS INCISED THE WINGED INSIGNIA OF AN RFC PILOT, TO THE LEFT OF WHICH IS INCISED THE BADGE OF THE RFC
