Description
TWO CARVED STONE FIGURES PLACED EITHER SIDE OF THE ENTRANCE TO THE CHURCH. DEDICATORY INSCRIPTION ON TWO STONES SET INTO THE WALL OF THE CHURCH BEHIND THE FIGURES. FIGURE ON THE LEFT IS OF ST MICHAEL, THE PATRON OF THE ARMY AND FLYING CORPS. THE FIGURE ON THE RIGHT IS OF THE VIRGIN MARY, AS PATRONESS OF ENGLAND.
