Description

ENGRAVED RECTANGULR POLISHED BRASS PLAQUE. THE INSCRIPTION IS SET BETWEEN TWO PLAIN BORDERS ON EACH SIDE OF THE PLAQUE. THESE BORDERS CURVE BACK ROUND THE ANGLES OF THE COLUMN TO WHICH THE PLAQUE IS FIXED. THE TOP AND BOTTOM OF THE CENTRE OF THE PLAQUE ON WHICH THE INSCRIPTION IS ENGRAVED FORM CONVEX CURVES. COAT OF ARMS OF THE CITY OF LEEDS ABOVE INSCRIPTION. BADGE OF WEST YORKS REGT BELOW INSCRIPTION. TWO CROSSES WITHIN CIRCLES ENGRAVED TWEEN BATTALION TITLE AND MAIN BODY OF INSCRIPTION
