Three single-story stone almshouses. Two stone tablets fixed to outside wall between the three. Carved leaves in the corner of each tablet.

BRIGGS. / IN LOVING MEMORY / OF THEIR SON / JOHN STEPHEN / WHO DIED FOR CHINA / JUNE 9TH 1942. / AGED 27 YEARS. / CONVEYED TO HORSFORTH, U.D.C. / BY MRS FRANCES BRIGGS./ Right Plaque: JOHN STEPHEN BRIGGS / SERVING WITH THE F.A.U. / INTERNATIONAL CHINA CONVOY / OF RESCUE AND RELIEF / DIED OF TYPHUS. / BURIED AT KUNMING / ON THE BURMA ROAD. / HE SERVED HIS DAY AND GENERATION / ACCORDING TO THE WILL OF GOD. / UNVEILED BY PAUL S.
