- Description
- Two-stepped square base surmounted by a tapering rectangular sectioned plinth and a tapering rectangular sectioned shaft with integrated celtic styled wheel cross. Pinned lead lettering forms the inscription and names on front face of plinth. The whole memorial occupies a semi-circular paved area, set back from the road and is rearwardly enclosed by a curved, brick-built, boundary wall with capped brick pillars at each end. This semi-circular area was formerly part of the Churchyard until the erection of the memorial in 1923. The curved rear Churchyard boundary wall carries incised stone blocks bearing a linear WW2 inscription along with five names. Capping stones complete the wall.
