- WHITE ALABASTER TABLET, MOUNTED ON BLACK MARBLE WHICH HAS A PEAKED TOP TO ACCOMODATE DECORATIVE TOP TO MAIN TABLET. THE MAIN TABLET IS SET ON TWO BRACKETS. THE BACKBOARD IS ON TWO WHITE MARBLE BRACKETS. THE WHITE MARBLE TABLET HAS BORDERS IN THE FORM OF CORINTHIAN HALF COLUMNS. THE TOP CORNICE (WHICH INCORPORATES THE DATES 1914 1918) HAS CARVED OAK LEAVES AND ACORNS. THE BOTTOM CORNICE IS AN EGG AND DART DESIGN. THE INSCRIPTION IS IN BLACK INCISED ROMAN LETTERING, WITH A QUOTATION IN ITALIC LETTERING. THE MAIN WHITE MARBLE TABLET IS SURMOUNTED BY A CARVED THREE-DIMENSIONAL DESIGN OF RIFLES WITH FIXED BAYONETS AND FLAGS, AND HAS A CARVED FIRST WORLD WAR HELMET AT THE BASE. THE WHOLE MEMORIAL IS SURMOUNTED BY A CROWN AND CROSS.
