- PAVED BASE SURMOUNTED BY SQUARE DOUBLE PLINTH, TAPERING SHAFT AND CELTIC CROSS. DEDICATORY INSCRIPTION CARVED ONTO THE 6 O'CLOCK FACE OF THE PLINTH AND NAMES PLACED ON BRONZE PLAQUES PLACED ON THE OTHER SIDES OF THE PLINTH. There is an additional plaque for a WW1 casualty, which was added in the late 20th century-Private Charles Lough of the HLI. The memorial is set in its own small garden surrounded by a beech hedge, four cypress trees and a low granite wall with ornamental iron rails and a gate

- In 2008 War Memorials Trust offered a grant of £3,997 towards cleaning the stonework and the bronze plaques, re-patinating the latter where necessary, raking out and repointing with lime mortar failing joints and unsuitable grouting, repairing the stone where necessary, replacing a missing fixing on a plaque and applying protective chemical coatings to the memorial.
