Description
A tapered stone cairn built of 6 courses of dressed stone and capped with a single pyramidal capstone. There are two small brass plaques set into opposite sides of the top 2 stone courses of the cairn. The cairn is on a low wide plinth. The memorial is in a small garden, with a slabbed pavement leading from the street to the memorial. The memorial garden lies in a plot between houses on a residential street.

Plaque 1- IN TRIBUTE TO /THE CITIZENS OF CLYDEBANK /WHO SUFFERED AND ENDURED /IN THE DEVASTATION BY ENEMY ACTION /ON 13TH AND 14TH MARCH 1941 /I will restore to you the years Plaque 2-THIS MEMORIAL CAIRN WAS ERECTED BY THE /PROVOST, MAGISTRATES AND COUNCILLORS /OF THE BURGH OF CLYDEBANK /AND WAS UNVEILED ON THEIR BEHALF BY /PROVOST FRANK DOWNIE J.P. /11TH OCTOBER 1961
