Description
Stone cairn with dedicatory granite plaque. This is a replacement memorial following housing development on the original site. There is also now an interpretation board which was supplied in 2013, along with the new access route from the car park. The entrance to the nearby cycle track has a silhouette of a Sunderland flying boat to mark the connection to RAF operations in WW2.
