- IN MEMORY OF ADMIRAL SIR HYDE PARKER/ SECOND SON OF/ VICE ADMIRAL SIR HYDE PARKER BART./ DIED 16TH MARCH 1807 AGED 67/ AND OF HIS THREE SONS BY HIS FIRST WIFE ANNE/ DAUGHTER OF JOHN PALMER BOTELER ESQ./ 1 VICE ADMIRAL HYDE PARKER C.B./ WHO DIED WHILE SENIOR NAVAL LORD OF ADMIRALTY/ 26TH MAY 1854 2 MAJOR GENERAL JOHN BOTELER PARKER C. B./ OF THE ROYAL ARTILLERY/ WHO LOST HIS LEFT LEG AT THE BATTLE OF WATERLOO/ AND DIED LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR OF THE ROYAL MILITARY COLLEGE, WOOLWICH/ 25TH MAY 1851/ 3 LIEUTENANT HARRY PARKER COLDSTREAM GUARDS/ KILLED AT THE BATTLE OF TALAVERA/ 27TH JULY 1809/ ALSO IN MEMORY OF HIS SECOND WIFE FRANCES/ DAUGHTER OF ADMIRAL SIR RICHARD ONSLOW BART CGB/ LIEUTENANT GENERAL OF THE MARINES/ BY WHOM HE LEFT ISSUE/ ADMIRAL SIR HYDE PARKER COMMANDED A SQUADRON/ OF FRIGATES IN THE FIRST AMERICAN WAR AND FOR THE SERVICES/ OF THAT PERIOD REICEIVED THE KNIGHTHOOD. HE WAS AFTERWARDS COMMANDER IN CHIEF/ IN THE WEST INDIES AND OF THE BALTIC/ FLEET AT THE BATTLE OF COPENHAGEN FOR WHICH/ ACTION HE WAS VOTED THE THANKS OF THE PARLIAMENT.
