Description
Pair of two light lancet arched windows, decorated as below, with accompanying tablet of Romans stone with a border of Caen stone. The windows were designed by and made by Miss Lilian J Pocock of London, the tablet by Mr James P Alison of Hawick. The First Light contains a depiction of soldiers and a King kneeling before Christ in Majesty with a battle scene below. The Second Light depicts Christ, cloaked and carrying a sword, blessing a kneeling warrior with figures bearing the Ark of the Covenant(?) below.

TO THE HALLOWED AND GLORIOUS MEMORY/ OF THE MEN OF THIS CONGREGATION WHO/ BY THE GRACE OF GOD GAVE THEIR LIVES/ FOR THEIR COUNTRY IN THE GREAT WAR/ THESE WINDOWS ARE DEDICATED/ IN HUMBLE GRATITUDE A.D. 1920/ (NAMES)/ SO HE PASSED OVER/ AND ALL THE TRUMPETS SOUNDED FOR HIM ON THE OTEHR SIDE/ HONOUR ALSO THOSE WHO FOLLOWED THEM/ 1939 - 1945
