- By 31 July 2000 (see photo of this date by Patricia Barber) the lettering had been re-cut and the memorial had been cleaned. Photographs taken on 8 October 2015 show that lettering was difficult to read. Further photographs taken on 25 January 2018 show that the WW1 inscriptions are now unreadable and WW2 very difficult.
