- Description
- Brass memorial in repoussé work in the form of a temple, with the front pediment supported by Corinthian columns and an arch set upon the pediment which bears a Biblical text in Hebrew, which is continued across the pediment. Within the arch sits a menorah, and in the spaces between the outer columns below are representations of the Star of David with the year of the conflict at the centre - the CE dates (1914-1919) to the left, the AM dates (5674 - 5679) to the right. The dedication and names appear between the central columns, above a laurel wreath mounted on the base which carries a further dedication. The inscriptions are raised and the memorial is mounted on an oak backboard.
