Description
Illuminated roll of honour in glazed wooden frame with ionic pilasters to either side and a rectangular pediment. There is a gold-coloured surround around the glazing. The illumination depicts a grey monument with grecian columns. In the centre of the monument is the list of names arranged in four columns. The names are flanked by female personifications of war (right) and peace (left). Above the names is the royal coat of arms, and below it is the coat of arms of Bolton flanked by flags of allied nations and sprigs of oak. On each column is a floriate design depicting roses, thistles, tulips and clover.
