- Description
- Illuminated roll of honour in glazed wooden frame with ionic pilasters to either side and a rectangular pediment. There is a gold-coloured surround around the glazing. The illumination depicts a grey monument with grecian columns. In the centre of the monument is the list of names. Above the list is the royal coat of arms. Below it is a coat of arms consisting of a floral roundel and crown superimposed over an escutcheon of a St. George Cross. This coat of arms is flanked by flags of allied nations, sprigs of oak and daffodils. On each column is a floriate design depicting roses, thistles and clover. Superimposed over this design are a sword and scroll on the left-hand column and a torch and scroll on the right-hand column.
