- Description
- Cenotaph and cricket ground dedicated in memory of the Bradshaw Cricket Club casualties of the First World War. Also a landscaped embankment extension commemorating casualties of the Second World War. The Cenotaph is formed of a tapering plinth surmounted by a pyrimidic casket top and is set on a two step base. On the 9 O'Clock face is a carved relief of a crossed sword and rifle with a wreath a ribbon above them. On the 3 O'Clock face is a carved relief of cricket stumps with the bails being knocked off by the ball. Below the stumps is a wreath and two crossed cricket bats. The landscaped embankment extension is terraced with seating. A cross commemorating Second World War casualties is cited in the extension.
