- Description
- Central plaque listing those who died. This is surmounted by elaborate carved stonework, including armorial device. Below is Royal Coat of Arms. There are four further plaques, two either side of the central plaque, listing those who served. There are four carved figures, one either side of the central plaque with the other two on the extreme left and right hand sides. These figures represent Courage, Life, Death and Endurance. Along the top of the memorial are four griffins representing England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Along the bottom of the memorial are shields.
