STONE ALTAR WITH ADDITIONAL STONE TABLETS ON EITHER SIDE. LANCET SHAPED TABLETS WITH BLACK LETTERING. TABLETS ARE INSET INTO STONE NICHES. NICHES ARE PITCHED AT TOP WITH COLUMNS AT EITHER SIDE OF TABLETS, PAINTED BLACK, GILT AND PINK.

(CENTRAL TABLET): TO THE/ GLORY OF GOD/ AND/ IN COMMEMORATION OF THE GREAT WAR, IN WHICH MEN OF THIS PARISH/ GAVE FAITHFUL SERVICE TO THEIR COUNTRY/ ALSO IN HONOURED MEMORY OF THOSE WHO MADE THE SUPREME SACRIFICE/ THIS MEMORIAL IS ERECTED.
