THIS LAND WAS GIVEN/ IN HONOURED MEMORY/ OF/ HENRY PERCY HARPUR/ M.D. CAPT., R.A.M.C./ THERE WAS HEALING IN HIS HANDS/ AND HUMANITY IN HIS HEART. THE GARDENS WERE LAID OUT/ BY PUBLIC SUBSCRIPTION FROM/ THE WAR MEMORIAL FUND.
