- Description
- The Rose Window, depicting six angels each holding a symbol of martyrdom, and the two outer windows below, depicting St Michael and Joshua, in the West end of the church, with dedicatory bronze (WW1) and brass (WW2) plaques set on the North wall. The WW1 plaque is a cast bronze rectangle with a segmental apex, surrounded by a pediment decorated with laurel leaves, which also fall down the upper section of the plaque. In the segment there is a cross bearing a laurel wreath. A row of three roses of Lancashire are set above the names. The ornamentation and lettering is raised. The WW2 plaques, one set each side of the WW1 plaque, are simple rectangles made of polished brass, with an incised border line. The names are incised,
