- Description
- Rectangular brown and white mottled marble tablet , the top in a convex curve with the shoulders protruding , the base stepped . The top is surmounted by a heraldic crest and fully coloured coat of arms , likely to be of the Wroughton Family .Inset at the base is a circular yellow metal plaque , with the badge of the Berkshire Yeomanry . The dedication is incised in black capital letters on off white marble set within a border of blue flourishes .

FOR THE COUNTY OF BERKS./ MAJOR BERKSHIRE YEOMANRY./ THE BELOVED ELDER SON OF/ PHILIP AND EVELYN MARY/ WROUGHTON./ HE SERVED WITH HIS REGT.
