Comments: Private Subs raised £169/6/6; House to House collections £27/11/2; Events at Lindal £84/9/5; Events at Marton £22/15/4= £308/17/8. Memorials cost £226/12/8, railings £60. Of the balance of £4/15/10- £2 to Dalton Town Band for their services at the unveiling, and balance to Hon Sec of Memorial Committee for all his work. MESSRS BAYLISS, JONES & BAYLISS LTD provided gate and railings for both memorials. Mrs Shirley Jenks gave £100 of the costs.
