PLINTH SURMOUNTED BY FIGURE OF ADMIRAL RAMSAY STARING OUT TO SEA, towards Dunkirk, WITH HIS RIGHT HAND IN HIS POCKET AND HIS LEFT HOLDING A TELESCOPE. INSCRIPTION ON TWO SIDES OF THE PLINTH. RELIEF PANELS ON THE PLINTH DEPICT THE DUNKIRK EVACUATION AND THE NORMANDY LANDINGS Paving in front of statue shows map of English Channel and the D Day beachesl .
