COLONEL INDIAN MEDICAL SERVICE/ HUSBAND OF MARY FRANCES RUTHERFOORD/ BORN 13TH NOVEMBER 1878/ DIED OF MALARIA WHILE IN COMMAND OF 11TH CAVALRY/ BRIGADE FIELD AMBULANCE, ON 18TH OCTOBER 1918 AND/ BURIED IN THE MILITARY CEMETERY BEIRUT SYRIA. HE SAILED/ FROM ENGLAND 11TH AUGUST 1914, AND SERVED CONTINUOUSLY/ ABROAD UNTIL HIS DEATH DURING THE FINAL STAGE OF/ SIR F.
