- THIS SEAT IS DEDICATED TO THE/ CANADIAN SERVICEMEN WHO WERE/ TRAINED AT BRAMSHOTT AND DIED/ DURING THE FIRST AND SECOND/ WORLD WARS. IT IS MADE WITH THE WOOD FROM THE SYCAMORE TREES/ WHICH STOOD ALONG THE A3 AT/ BRAMSHOTT CHASE HAMPSHIRE. THE/ ORIGINAL TREES HAD TO BE FELLED/ AS THEY WERE BEING DAMAGED BY/ TRAFFIC AND WERE A DANGER TO THE/ TRAVELLING PUBLIC. THEY WERE REPLACED WITH IMPORTED/ CANADIAN MAPLES AS A CONTINUING/ MEMORIAL TO THOSE WHO GAVE THEIR/ LIVES IN DEFENCE OF FREEDOM./ PRESCRIBED BY THE HIGHWAYS AGENCY/ UNVEILED BY MR LAWRIE HAYNES/ CHIEF EXECUTIVE/ JANUARY 1996
