- MEMORIAL BUILT TO REPRESENT A FAIRY GLEN WITH WATER BUBBLING OUT BETWEEN ROCKS INTO A DRINKING POOL. INSCRIPTION ON TWO FOREST OF DEAN BLOCKS AT THE TOP OF THE MOUND. TWO CARVED PIGEONS STOOD ON TOP OF THE STONE BLOCKS BUT THESE HAVE BEEN STOLEN

- Stone block 1: IN MEMORY OF/ WARRIOR BIRDS/ WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES ON ACTIVE SERVICE 1939 - 45/ AND FOR THE USE AND PLEASURE OF LIVING BIRDS. Stone block 2: A BIRD OF THE AIR SHALL CARRY THE VOICE/ AND THAT WHICH HATH WINGS SHALL TELL THE MATTER /Ecc 10:20 // THIS MEMORIAL IS PRESENTED BY NANCY PRICE / AND THE MEMBERS OF THE PEOPLE'S THEATRE, lONDON. PLAQUE: IN MEMORY OF 'WINKIE' A PIGEON SERVING WITH BEAUFORT SQUADRON NO 1 RAF PIGEON SERVICE. THE CRAFT SHE WAS ON DITCHED AND DESPITE BEING COVERED IN OIL SHE WAS ABLE TO FLY HOME AND DELIVER THE MESSAGE SHOWING WHERE THE CREW WHERE. ALL WERE RESCUED SAFELY (EXACT INSCRIPTION UNKNOWN)
