- Three tablets. The main tablet, WW2, Nowy-headed rectangular with F.A.N.Y. (First Aid Nursing Yeomanry) badge top centre. Above this a smaller WW1, rectangular tablet. Inscription on both tablets incised with black lettering. Below these a commemorative tablet.

- The Times 8 May 1948 pp.4 col.g, 8 (photo) Dedicated by the vicar, The Rev. E B Henderson. Princess Alice was Commandant-in-Chief of the Women`s Transport Service in WW2, when the vicarage, next to the church, was used as the HQ of FANY.
- Local Publication/Booklet `The Shutter Telegraph` (Newsletter of The Royal Signals Museum)Vol.1 No.10 (March 2005) p.3 Article: `Lost at Sea: Signallers of the First Aid Nursing Yeomanry (FANY)` A/Sgt Barbara Austin was one of the eight members of WTS (East Africa) killed when the troopship SS Khedive Ismael was torpedoed and sunk by a Japanese sumarine in Feb. 1944.
