- TIERED, ORNATE COLUMN WITH LAUREL WREATHS AND CROSS DEPICTED ON IT. MEMORIAL MADE FROM GREENLAW STONE. A SEPARATE PLAQUE HAS BEEN ADDED AT THE BOTTOM OF ONE OF THE FACES GIVING THE NAMES OF THE FALLEN FROM WW2. From the War Memorials online website - Elaborate memorial with central block housed below large, flat topped, square roof supported by 4 Ionic columns. The roof supports a stone coffin which in turn supports a smaller version of the column supported roof topped by a dome. The front face of the lower block has a cross & dedication, with the sides showing names, all in black lettering. All stands on a substantial platform in plot surrounded, by iron railings, placed on platform at road junction.
