Reference
  • Pamphlet: "Remembering 2500 Servicemen from Walthamstow who died in WW1" produced by St Mary's Walthamstow from research by Chris Hunt of the East London Branch of the Western Front Association, and photos by David Baker. NB: This pamphlet only refers to "The War Memorial in oak to Walthamstow Parishioners ..." as installed beneath the organ loft in 1921, and includes a photo of the inscription on it (SEE Ref: WMR39927 - WW1 War Memorial Screen), but does not mention the WW1 Memorial Reredos, or "The Last Supper" painting, so it is not clear now whether this is in fact a separate memorial, as originally recorded in the War Memorial Inventory as Reference No. 39926, or actually part of the screen recorded as No.39927)

This record comprises all information held by IWM’s War Memorials Register for this memorial. Where we hold a names list for the memorial, this information will be displayed on the memorial record. Please check back as we are adding more names to the database.
