- Lettering is weathered and illegible. To obtain the inscription and names image enhancement techniques have been used; Restoration was undertakem in 2015. The inscription and names are now (January 2018) legible to an extent but the condition remains as poor; Ownership has long been obscure (hence the long term deterioration), but in 2014 it was assumed by Irton & Santon Bridge Parish Council.
