RECTANGULAR BRASS PLAQUE MOUNTED ONTO AN OAK BACKBOARD. INCISED INSCRIPTION. INCISED DECORATIVE LAUREL LEAF BORDER ON THE PLAQUE. TOP CENTRE OF PLAQUE IS AN INCISED WREATH SUPERIMPOSED ON CROSSED SWORDS WITH A CROSS AT CENTRE. DATES OF THE WAR ARE EITHER SIDE OF WREATH. AT BASE, IS AN INCISED BANNER WITH LATIN QUOTE WITH SUNRISE MOTIF BEHIND.
