Description

Three-light stained glass window with figures depicted in the lights and the inscription at the base Jesus is depicted in the centre light flanked by a knight and angel in the left and right hand lights. Two cherubs hold the inscription banner at the base of the light. Regimental badge of The Queen’s is at the top of the left light and badge of the East Surrey is at the top of the right light (see file for full description of the window)

DEDICATED BY THE FAMILY OF HUGH VAUGHAN PIERS WHO WAS BORN/ AT REPTON IN DERBYSHIRE 13TH JUNE 1855 & DIED AT CARSHALTON 17TH NOVEMBR/ AODNI 1931 COMMENDING HIM AND THE MEN OF THIS PLACE WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR US IN THE 1914 - 1918 TO THE INFINITE/ MERCY OF GOD
