- Rectangular stone tablet bearing inscription surmounted by smaller plaque with name additions. Metal plaque mounted below. Cross depicted in upper centre on large tablet. Whole set within flower bed.

- Small tablet above main: In loving memory of/ (Names)/ "The strift is o'er, the battle done."/ Alleluia Main tablet (most of this inscription written around a central cross): To the Glory of God and in sacred memory of/ The following parishioners of St. James' Upper Edmonton/ who gave their lives for their country in the Great War 1914-1919/ this tablet is erected./ "Brave men and worthy patriots. Dear to God."/ (Names) Metal plaque: these World War 1/ memorial tablets have been relocated by the/ London Borough of Enfield/ from the former St. James Church/ opposite and were re-dedicated on/ 15th November 1998.

- c1998: Church closed and land sold for redevelopment. The Royal British Legion, Edmonton Branch, relocated the memorial to the opposite side of the road.
