- 1970'S: MEMORIAL WAS ORIGINALLY LOCATED IN A SMALL GARDEN BESIDE THE MAIN GATEWAY. HOWEVER, IT WAS IN A POOR CONDITION SO THE THEN RECTOR, CANON H LEWIS, DISMANTLED IT AND REASSEMBLED THE ESSENTIAL PARTS IN THE PORCH. STONE BASE ON WHICH IT ORIGINALLY STOOD IS STILL IN SITU.
