Description

Wall mounted, apex-headed slate tablet with moulded edges. Royal Air Force crest at top of tablet above incised inscription text with Coventry Diocese & Stratford upon Avon crests flanking first three lines of inscription. First & last lines of text infilled in gold coloured paint, the remainder in white.

TO THE GLORY OF GOD / AND TO COMMEMORATE / No9 I.T.W. ROYAL AIR FORCE / A TRAINING WING FOR AIRCREW CADETS / STATIONED IN STRATFORD-UPON-AVON / 14th JUNE 1941 - 26th MAY 1944 / This church was their spiritual home and they / were supported by the people of this town. / We remember with pride the many cadets / of this unit who did not survive the war. / .PER.
