- LARGE CHURCH BUILT AS A MEMORIAL TO THOSE WHO DIED DURING THE BATTLE. ON THE OUTSIDE EAST WALL IS A STATUE OF HENRY IV, VICTOR OF THE BATTLE. INSIDE, ON THE ROOF BEAMS, ARE THE SHIELDS OF THE KNIGHTS WHO FOUGHT WITH HIM. THERE IS A NOWY HEADED BRASS, DEDICATORY PLAQUE WITHIN THE CHURCH, OLD ENGLISH LETTERING, CAPITALS IN RED.

- This Church/ Dedicated to St Mary Magdalene/ was built and ordered by King Henry/ in Memory of the Battle of Shrewsbury 1403/ having fallen into decay its restoration originally by a public subscription/was finally completed in the year of Our Lord 1861/ at the private cost of Annabella wife of Sir Theodore Brinckman/ according to plans prepared by S, Pountney Smith/ SOLI DEO GLORIA

- By the 1860s much of the church was in ruins and it was restored by a local architect, S Pountney Smith. The church and surrounding earthworks are a scheduled ancient monument.
