Description
Two-stepped concrete platform with 3 pedestals constructed of Portland stone. Surmounting the central pedestal is the main block, bracketed with pilasters decorated with carved wreaths in relief. Each of the side pedestals supports 4 x 9-inch square pillars matching the pilasters of the central block. These 3 components are linked by, at the bottom, walls between the pedestals and, on top, a massive cornice rising to an arch over the central block. 4 slate tablets bear incised inscriptions infilled with gold coloured paint. Small metal vase with the name "Arthur Povey", placed with memorial. The whole memorial is enclosed by a metal vertical railed fence & located on an island refuge, centre of the road.
